MonoPods are sculptures consisting of a wooden support structure on which a wax enclosure is placed. The sculptures are scaled to the human body and are constructed in various sizes. The wax structures are built as hollow forms, inverted vessels, which allow a person to enter the work by standing within the wooden support frame. Once inside, the head and upper body are surrounded by the wax structure, creating an experience of personal space. While the Pod encloses the head, the rest of the body remains exposed.
