Resonant Disks are part of a series of sculptures that express pixelated architecture in physical space, blurring the line between virtual and material content. This work is part of the artist’s series of monochromatic resin disks which uses an application called Resonant Lens to map the visible spectrum onto the sound spectrum, so that participants can hear what they see. Forging aural, visual, and virtual connections, the Re-Frequenced Sculpture acts as an extension of the five senses, augmenting the viewer’s experience of reality.
