Composed of found wood, beeswax, and pigment, Light Reactive Organic Sculptures operate at the intersection between painting and sculpture. Combining permeable properties with a heavy materiality, these radically non-technological works absorb and radiate light, in accordance with the color of encaustic. Their foundation is an architecture of color in which the material is the color and the color is material. The result is a subtle and evolving perceptual event that is at once spatial, atmospheric, and immersive.
